VHF National Field Day

VHF Field Day 2015

4th-5th July

For the third year in a row we are joining up with Basingstoke ARC to enter the RSGB VHF Field Day competition. This is a National competition with the idea of contacting as many other people as possible, over as much distance as possible, in 24 hours, while operating from temporary accommodation (tents), and off the grid (generators). Points are awarded per kilometre per contact. More than a thousand people get involved across Europe on all the main VHF/UHF Frequency Bands.

We will be running stations on 2m (144MHz), 70cm (432 MHz), 6m (50MHz) and 4m (70MHz) from a site near Basingstoke.
