DXpedition to Isle of Man for VHF National Field Day in 1983 by G3KMI and alumni.

Needless to say we didn't do particularly well in the contest. Only real moment of note was when Helen started using the phonetics "Gnat 4 Kiwi Mongoose Iguana" during the graveyard shift on 144MHz. It was also very wet. KZY, IWB and myself [Andy G4JNT] QSYed to a local hotel for the last night to dry off, and warm up and get a decent night's sleep.
Spot the lattice tower in the background - that used to live in the club shack when it was in the Old Union Building, and was manhandled though the corridors; it went up to the IOM strapped to the top of Paul G4KZY's Black Ford Capri (an oldish car even in those days!)
