A location suggested by Chris G3WIE is a lay-by on Lanes End Down ([http://goo.gl/maps/567X Google Streetview]), Ted G3XUX uses this location to run a 4m net on Sunday mornings and says it works well, unfortunately the site is unsuitable for any guyed mast.

Ted has suggested that we could approach 'The Milburys' ([http://www.themilburyspub.co.uk/ website]) a pub near to the first site with a small field out of the back that is advertised as available for Club meetings and would work well for putting up the mast. There would also be a good nearby source of food and drink!
We will be sharing a site used by the Basingstoke ARC, the site is ~160m ASL and has great views from north-west through to south-east. There is a remote station on the same hill that regularly gets 10GHz contacts with Germany.

We will be sharing a site with Basingstoke ARC and operating under their name, but with our callsign (G3KMI/P) on 2m and 70cm. The site ha been reccied and is 'ideal' - great views to north-west through south-east.

We will be operating 2m and 70cm, maybe with Phil's rigs, or possibly using 2 borrowed FT-897s.
We will be operating on 2m and 70cm as completely separate stations, both using the G3KMI/P callsign.

====2m====
* FT897 All-mode
* 100W Amp + Pre-amp
* Yagi + 10m mast

====70cm====
* FT897 All-mode
* 50W Amp + Masthead pre-amp
* Yagi + 10m mast
