Creating a low bitrate wireless data network running over VHF using the UV-5R and potentially a Raspberry Pi to provide remote internet access potentially to a base station at the university.

Proposed plan
* Linux tun/tap diver to create IP interface
* find/create a Mac layer protocol for use on the VHF bands
* Create an encoder to encode the MAC layer packet into audio signals that can be sent over the radio.

Extension ideas
* Routing protocol for out of range nodes/to have multiple base stations
* Pi Backpack that connects to UV5R and provides a wifi access point / network node.

{{Project
|Title=SUWS Antenna Array
|Status=New
}}
[[SOWN Zepler]] has been up for quite some time. Its Wi-Fi aspects have never really been used initial due to the pure state of the antennas and more recently due to pervasive high-bandwidth data access provided by 4G/5G. Therefore, replacing this with a fully Amateur Radio focused installation make more sense.

This new installation be deployed on the roof of Zepler but we may be able to find a better location. So for now let us just call it the '''SUWS Antenna Array''' (not to be confused with the [[SUSU Antenna Array]], which never happened).
